Georgian House Hotel

37-41 High Street, Haslemere, Surrey GU27 2JY, UK – 01428 656644

We stayed here to attend a wedding locally. The staff were amazing, and they could make a good cocktail. The breakfast was of good standard for a hotel, and ever was catered for. Some of our pay said the breakfast was the best they'd had for a long time. Great hash browns! Unfortunately, everyone had since kind of problem with their bathroom. The showers are old, and don't have a thermostat. Our hand shower clip had lost tension and would slide down its rail repeatedly during a shower. Another had no cold water in the basin. The bed was a foam mattress. Most found this satisfactory, but I dislike foam mattresses. The rooms were clean, and serviced daily. We all had lovely views. I didn't use the spa facilities, but those who did thoroughly enjoyed them.

Stayed for 2 night spa break. Have stayed here many times as you cannot beat the value. Hotel lovely and spa is nice and relaxing. Restaurant is 4* in my book's, food and staff are amazing. As you have probably guessed I absolutely love this place and I am already planning a return.

Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa

Petworth Rd, Chiddingfold, Haslemere GU27 3BQ, UK – 01428 651251

Very nice hotel. Large, clean, refurbished rooms in a beautiful setting. Only 3/5 stars as I expected more of the spa and breakfast for the cost of the room. The spa is nice enough but basic with only a pool with sauna and steam room. The breakfast is sub par/ budget buffet for an upper end hotel charging upwards from £160. The restaurant was okay, beautiful setting and pleasant staff and the food we had was tasty. If you can get a deal then it's worth a visit.

Lovely dinner, great tasting food beautifully presented in a gorgeous room. Breakfast a touch disappointing. Spa is lovely. Room was ok, very comfortable bed but a bit noisy, bulbs were out and some decor a bit untidy. Good stay overall.

The Station House

33 Lower St, Haslemere GU27 2PD, UK – 01428 776560

Large hotel/ pub with lots of levels offering views over the hillside. Conveniently located opposite the train station. Good selection of unusual draught beer and lager. Top terrace at the rear acts as a suntrap, wild landscaped garden and no road noise.

Great rooms but no net curtains and rooms are visible to the street which can be awkward, hence 4 stars. Restaurant is top notch and there is a very lively bar too!

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Cherrimans B&B

53 Liphook Rd, Haslemere GU27 1NR, UK – 07947 079088

Beautiful setting with delightful house. Clean, comfortable and luxurious four-poster bedroom. Lovely breakfast served by attentive hosts. They have a cat and a dog but even though we are allergic to them we were fine.

We had a 3 night stay and could not have asked for a more delightful place. The house is fascinating with lots of history and the Eliot room in which we stayed was so spacious and comfortable. Lyndsey and Mark were superb hosts, serving a most delicious breakfast that set us up for the day. I do hope I will be able to stay again sometime and it is worthy of more than 5 stars!

The Barn at Roundhurst

Lower Roundhurst Farm, Jobsons Lane, Lurgashall GU27 3BY, UK – 01428 642535

Perfect. Agree, this the best the B&B we have ever experienced. We also enjoyed the excellent dinner served.

Fabulous atmosphere!

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
